At this Time of the year students are burning the mid night oil prepare for the on coming exams. Some are confident to do well because they consistently labored through out the year, some are trying to catch up and some resorting to short cuts, Well, I wish success to all of them. Each one must be having a GOAL. Our quest for success and happiness begins with right intentions, it culminates when we reach our chosen goals. What sustains our efforts in between is our DETERMINATION. Determination and
Persistence are two common traits that we find in every successful person. Elton Musk, Steve Jobs Oprah Winfery, Ratan Tata , Dhiru Bhai Ambani , Kumar Birla, Azim Premji are not extraordinary people but what is common to all of them is “determination”. Without it we are a mere passive spectator in the drama of life. Callin Powell said “ A dream does not become reality through magic, it takes sweat, determination and hard work”. though determination is a simple thing, it comes with practice and discipline. to become a determined person one has to discipline ones life on a daily basis as everyone has just 24 hours in a day and what makes a difference is how to utilize these hours. Set a goal in life and mark the way to achieve it. Write down in front of your desk that there is no shortcut to success. Your every action should be oriented toward the goal. Keep but the courage to continue and the resolution to fight all odds is what counts the most Swami Vivekanand sais “Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life….think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea and just leave This is the way great men are produced.” If there is one quality that makes a deference between a winner and looser or a leader and follower it is the power of determination.
